Biofeedback

When our brain and body are out of balance, sometimes psychological treatment alone is not enough to correct this. After being exposed to high levels of stress, our brain can become over-stimulated, leading to difficulty sleeping or an inability to return to a calm state. If we are exhausted or have difficulty concentrating, it can be hard to activate our nervous system, no matter how hard we try. Biofeedback works directly with specific biophysical variables in the body by regulating breathing and heart variability or by measuring activity indicators such as skin conductance or temperature. Neurofeedback, or brain biofeedback, regulates and adjusts brain activity using data from the EEG (electroencephalogram) or blood flow in the brain.

Treatments

These treatments allow direct work on these parameters without the person having to undergo any kind of analysis, changes or verbal therapy. Some biofeedback systems are specifically designed to treat certain problems (bruxism, etc.). They can also be helpful for a wide range of medical problems, including:

- Severe controlled hypertension

- Fibromyalgia

- Irritable bowel

- asthma

- Epilepsy

- And many more
